India: Pakistan and US Should Resolve Issues Through Talks

India on Friday urged Pakistan and the US to resolve their issues through dialogue. Indian Foreign Minister S.M Krishna told reporters that Pakistan and the US should make efforts to repair their relations. He also said India was aware of the social and political problems faced by Pakistan. The Indian official told the media that the volatility of Pakistan would have unfavorable effects in India; “Anything which upsets the region will have devastating consequences for the developmental agenda of other countries, particularly India. So we sincerely hope they will be able to sort out their differences.”

Alain Juppe, the French Foreign Minister also expressed concern over the situation and claimed Islamabad’s cooperation was vital for improving security in Afghanistan.
