Context
Israel Army Chief Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz said that second Gaza foray against Hamas is inevitable. He said this during the anniversary of the Operation Cast Lead, which was a month long foray to put an end to rocket attacks from Gaza. Gantz further said that sooner or later, IDF will have to conduct a significant operation and that it knows how to operate in a determined, decisive and offensive manner to exterminate the terrorists in Gaza.
In a related development, head of the Knesset Foreign affairs and Defense Committee praised the IDF missile strike overnight that killed three militants in Gaza, allegedly planning a terror attack along the Egyptian border.
