French Bill Enrages Turkey

Context

Ties between France and Turkey abruptly unraveled on Thursday after the French legislators passed the bill that makes it a crime to deny the Armenian genocide. In protest, Turkey cancelled all bilateral economic, military activities and political consultations with France. Tayip Erdogan said that France is playing with Islamophobia and Turcophobia for its individual ambitions and warned of more retaliatory actions.
