Context
PML-N has taken U-turn in its opposition to Zardari, by extending conditional support to him. Speaking on Thursday, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that if Zardari establishes a nuclear caretaker government for fair and transparent general elections, PML-N will not oppose his presidency.
Sanaullah also said that elections must be held under the supervision of a neutral setup, which would prevent Zardari’s government to tamper with the results. Commenting on the arrest warrant of Mian Khurram Rasool, former adviser of PM Gilani, he said if his arrest takes place, Gilani will be automatically implicated in the scam.
