US will send 84 Boeing F-15 jets, worth $30 billion, to Saudi Arabia. The agreement is part of the $60bn covering 10-15 years. This deal comes at a time when Washington is trying to tip off the influence of Saudi’s rival, Iran. The larger $60bn package includes Apache attack helicopters, Black Hawk helicopters, and a range of missiles, bombs and delivery systems.

White House spokesman, John Ernest has said the deal would support 50,000 American jobs. It also sends a message that US is committed to the stability of the region and will help Saudi Arabia against external threats. Pro-Israeli members disapproved of the deal, but they were subdued.
