Protests were held in several Israeli cities on Wednesday against the mounting costs of living as well as other social problems. Activists in Jerusalem, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Holon, Kiryat Shmona and Be’er Sheva rallied against issues such as unfair employment conditions, lack of social justice and the poor state of public transportation. “Stroller marches” are due to take place throughout Israel on Thursday for a third straight week. A mass rally has also been planned in Be’er Sheva for Saturday, with planners expecting a turnout of 50,000 participants.
