Elements within Pakistan’s security establishment sheltered Osama Bin Laden in exchange for millions of dollars by Saudi Arabia, according to a new investigation by US security analyst Raelynn Hillhouse. She claims his hideout was finally disclosed when a Pakistani intelligence official came forward to claim the US$ 25mn bounty on the al-Qaida chief’s head. Her account, based on proof from what she describes as sources within the “intelligence community”, disputes the official version that Bin Laden was hunted down with the help of his trusted courier.
