India views growing defense relations between Pakistan and China with “serious concern” and believes it should improve its own military capability to confront the challenge. “It is a matter of serious concern for us. The main thing is we have to increase our capability — that is the only answer,” Indian Defense Minister A.K. Antony said in an interview this week. The remarks followed reports that Beijing plans to speed up supply of fifty new JF-17 Thunder war planes to Islamabad under a co-production deal.
