Thousands of backers of troubled Yemeni President Abdullah Saleh gathered in Sanaa on Saturday for a rally after another massive show of support on Friday.  Weeks of demonstrations across the country have brought Saleh’s three-decade regime on the verge of collapse. Saleh wants to remain as president until new presidential and parliamentary elections are held by the end of this year. The US and neighboring oil rich Saudi Arabia, a key financial supporter, are concerned about who might be his successor in a country where Islamist militants flourish.
