Pakistan’s Supreme Court rejected Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani’s appeal against contempt charges on Friday. The court has accused PM Gilani of ignoring orders on writing letter to the Swiss authorities for re-opening graft cases against President Asif Zardari. If convicted, he could face up to six months of prison and disqualification from office. PM Gilani will now appear in the court on Feb 13 to hear the verdict.
