Condemning the suicide attacks on Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazal) Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, angry protesters held rallies in Gilgit after Friday prayers, accusing the American security contracting company formerly called Black Water of plotting the bombings that killed dozens in north western Pakistan. The speakers, which include a top local Sunni leader Qazi Nisar Ahmed, JUI-F Gilgit Leader Minhaj Uddin and others, urged the government to bring the alleged masterminds to justice since they had tried to assassinate a leader, who the demonstrators claimed, had saved Pakistan from becoming secular.
