Leading US Lawmaker Warns Against Confrontation With Iran

The Head of the Senate Intelligence Committee warned the US is on a collision course with Iran. Dianne Feinstein on Sunday said that action needed to be taken to avoid conflict with the Middle Eastern country. In an interview with Fox news she stated that the situation with Iran is dangerous.

She added that Washington holds Iran responsible for the plot of murdering Saudi Ambassador in US and that she believes Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Iraniain Quds Force, knew about the plot. She called the attempt an “escalation” and an “extension” of Iranian tactics.

Feinstein however cautioned against going to war with Iran, and favored tough international sanctions against Tehran including blacklisting its central bank.
