Pakistan’s Interior Affairs Minister Rehman Malik declared the militant network Lashkar-e-Jhangvi responsible for terrorist activities in Baluchistan. Malik said security personnel had uncovered evidence of conversation between jailed members of the group and their counter parts which prove that the network was involved in target killing in Quetta.
The interior minister made these comments while talking to MNA Nisasr Ali, who boycotted the National Assembly session to protest against the killings in Balochistan. Malik also blamed sectarian issues and foreign elements for inciting violence in the region. He announced that a security plan would be drawn out by chief secretaries and police chiefs of all provinces to ensure peace in the month of Muharram.
