US Vice President Joe Biden is to lead the US delegation to Saudi Arabia to offer condolence over the death of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz. The delegation consisted of several military and political high officials including Republican Senator John McCain, CIA chief David Petraeus, US Ambassador to Riyadh James Smith, head of US Central Command James Mattis, Secretary of Navy Ray Mabus as well as former defense secretary William Cohen. Washington announced the delegation on Sunday. The US president has already offered his county’s sympathies to the people of Saudi Arabia.
Prince Sultan was a former defense minister of the Saudi Kingdom. He was undergoing medical treatment in the US since June of this year.
