Joe Biden: NATO Should Focus On Libya, US On Egypt and Pakistan


Joe Biden, the US Vice President, said on Tuesday that NATO can tackle Libya without America’s assistance, claiming that US initiatives are better concentrated on places such as Egypt or Pakistan. The remarks came after the US Department of Defense said that the American military had flown over 800 Libya sorties after handing over control of the air operation to NATO. Navy Capt. Darryn James said that US war planes unleashed bombs on eight occasions this month on the air defenses of Muammar Qaddafi’s regime, which is fighting anti-government rebel forces in the North African country
