Separatist Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Geelani has condemned the Indian government, claiming it is using security forces to block the peace process in the valley. The chairperson of the pro-independence offshoot of Hurriyat Conference on Sunday accused the large contingent of soldiers present in Kashmir of “blocking the path to peace”. He was speaking at a seminar titled “Kashmir: Road to Peace” in Srinagar. Geelani also blamed the Indian government of using military to suppress the issues and people of the disputed area.
