Context
Indian intelligence claims it now has credible proof that several hundred People’s Liberation Army engineers are working in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. However, it is still trying to verify if these engineers are involved in some form of military construction such as bunkers. The shocking confirmation comes against China’s official denial that its military wasn’t present on the Pakistani side of Kashmir. US intelligence had in the past informed India of China’s military presence in the area.
