Pakistan’s foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday gave assurances of Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its anti terror cooperation with China. Khar who is on a visit to Beijing rejected reports of her country’s link to the Kashgar attacks. The East Turkestan Islamic Movement’ (ETIM) which is responsible for the stabbing attacks in the region last July is believed to have received training in Pakistan. “Pakistan is committed to strengthening anti-terror cooperation with China,” Khar said on Wednesday. Chinese officials also played down fears of rift between the two countries and praised Pakistan’s efforts against terror and religious extremism.
