Israel’s Chief of Staff Benny Gantz has ordered an increase in defensive measures along Israel’s border with Egypt over new terror warnings. Intelligence reports suggest of possible terrorist attacks similar to the ones last Thursday in which eight Israelis were killed. The main suspect, Islamic Jihad member Ismael al-Asmar, age 34 is believed to be responsible for the transfer of funds used in Thursday’s attacks.
New security measures include electronic and visual intelligence gathering as well as strengthening the Navy Command Center in the Israeli city of Eilat.
