The Supreme Court of Pakistan has summoned Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani to appear before the court on Feb 13. Judges seem determined to force the prime minister to write a letter to Swiss authorities, offering to withdraw the contempt notice if he decides to do as ordered.

If indicted, he will be disqualified from office and imprisoned for six months. Aitzaz Ahsan, prime minister’s lawyer, has said that it is possible to appeal on the matter.
