Pakistani army confirmed on Wednesday the arrests of four more military officials for links with outlawed Hizbut Tahrir in a move that indicates the military’s new push to rid the institution of individuals who may have a soft corner for extremist groups. The detention of these four unidentified majors is related to the arrest of Brig. Ali Khan, who is being held since 6th May for investigations over his alleged ties with the outlawed group, which calls for the creation of a pan-Islamic Caliphate by toppling, what according to it, is the country’s pro-US government.
