Countdown Begins In India for the Launch of Satellites

The Indian Space Research Organization [ISRO] started a 54-hr countdown on Monday for the launch of the country’s three satellites, according to an ISRO press secretary. The satellites include Resourcesat II, India’s remote sensing satellite, X-Sat and Youthsat. They are due be launched on 20th April by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle from the space station at Sriharikota. Mandatory checks will be performed on the spacecraft and launch vehicle, including the functioning of the launch infrastructure like communication networks and radar systems.
