China’s Vice President Xi Jinping on Wednesday said that his country is ready to enhance its strategic cooperation with Indonesia. Mr. Xi made the comments during talks with a visiting delegation of Indonesia’s Functional Group Party in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Noting that both Indonesia and China are major developing nations, the vice president said that they share broader common interests. He said that the advancement of strategic cooperation is in the interests of the two nations and beneficial to stability, peace and development in the region and the world. The Indonesian delegation was led by Aburizal Bakrie, the chairman of the Functional Group Party.
