The hacktivist organization Anonymous has posted a YouTube video in German, English and Spanish announcing a plan to bring down the world’s largest social networking site, Facebook. The hackers have invited anybody concerned about the spread of private data online to join the move and “kill Facebook for the sake of your own privacy”, with the date set for November 5th 2011. “Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from around the world,” said the video message, recorded in a digitally-altered voice as usual.
