The top US envoy announced full support for Turkey over the weekend in its campaign against terror and praised its part in modernization initiatives across the region, but warned that Ankara should first clean up its own house. In her remarks, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Turkey to address fears over ailing freedom of expression and human rights issues by implementing a new constitution. Clinton attended the Libya Contact Group summit on Friday in Istanbul and later met with Turkish leaders and opposition officials on Saturday. She held separate meetings with Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.
