Abbas Says He Is Ready To Go To Gaza

President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority said that he is willing to visit the Gaza Strip any time to end a row with the militant Islamic movement “Hamas” that is in control of the strip. Hamas has welcomed the remarks. The split between the two sides intensified in 2007, when Abbas’s forces were ousted by Hamas from Gaza following Hamas’ victory in parliamentary elections.
