An Iranian scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan was killed on Wednesday in a car bombing in Tehran. Iran has blamed US and Israel to be behind the assassination, calling it a “terrorist act”.

The dead scientist was working at Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment facility. Iran said the attack was carried out by the Zionist regime and the US, to impeded its nuclear program.

Israel, on the other hand, has expressed ignorance about the car bomb, but called it an act of ‘revenge’. Three other Iranian scientists were assassinated in 2010 and 2011 when their cars blew up in similar circumstances.
