Context
According to media reports, at least 8 people were killed and 16 more kidnapped in two separate attacks in the tribal region of Pakistan on Friday.
In the first incident, unknown militants attacked a convoy of cars near Bagan Town in Kurram Agency, leaving 8 people dead and eight others wounded. All those killed and wounded were Shias, according to officials. The attackers torched two vehicles and fled.
In another incident, militants attacked another convoy near Medani Dam and hijacked a van with 16 people on board. The van was taken to an unknown location in the tribal belt. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
