As the Taliban forces get squeezed during the ongoing military operation in the Swat Valley, they will attempt to escape further north as evidenced by events in Kalam recently. Chitral and Gilgit can be their next destination. Lowari Pass needs to be monitored including the Dorah and Baroghil Pass, which provide entry from Wakhan Corridor into Chitral, while Shandur Top provides passage in to Gligit from Chitral. Is Kashmir next?
