US President Barack Obama on Sunday said that the reports coming out from the Syrian city of Hama were “horrifying and demonstrate the true character of the Syrian regime”. The president also said he was shocked by the Syrian administration’s use of force against its own people and pledged to work alongside others to isolate the country’s leader Bashar Al-Assad. According to activists, tanks firing machine guns and shells entered Hama on Sunday, leaving at least 100 people dead.
