Turkish PM Closes the Door on Israel Again As UN Declares Gaza Blockade Legitimate

Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan is believed to have halted the reconciliation process with Israel on Wednesday. Media reports indicate he found out that the United Nations inquiry commission for last year’s raid on Turkish-led flotilla had declared Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza legitimate. Although the inquiry panel led by Law Commissioner Sir Geoffrey Palmer hasn’t released its findings, the ruling means Israel’s action was legal because the flotilla financed and organized by the Erdogan government had illegally tried to break that blockade. Therefore, Turkey has no right to demand an apology from Israel over the incident in which eight of its citizens were killed.
