The Status Of The Debate Over Libya’s No Fly Zone

The no-fly zone would reinforce the international pressure on Moammar Qaddafi’s repression of rebel forces, however Russia and Germany continue to show resistance to the idea. Foreign Secretary William Hague indicated that the plan may go ahead even without the Security Council’s go-ahead, and acknowledged the Arab League’s support of the military no-fly zone as being “significant”.
