Saudi Arabia has vowed to hold Iran accountable for any action it may take against the Kingdom. The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal on Thursday accused Tehran of using “murder and mayhem” to increase its sphere of influence. The minister at a religious dialogue conference in Vienna said Riyadh would not quake under Iranian pressure. Prince Faisal vowed that “any action they (Iran) take against us will have a measured response from Saudi Arabia.” The minister did not specify the measures saying “we have to wait and see.”

Iran had denied allegations of its involvement in a foiled plot to assassinate Saudi Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir.
