Context

Iran and North Korea are working together on weapons programs designed to develop a long-range missile with a capability of carrying nuclear warheads, a leading UK security think tank has claimed. According to a research by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, North Korean weapons programs are now benefiting from Iranian technology. On the other hand, Pyongyang also has technology which can allow Tehran’s uranium enrichment program to increase output. However, there was no concrete proof that North Korea has provided its superior equipment to Iran. The revelation signals a worrying development in the race for nuclear technology by two countries considered the biggest threat to international security.
