Context
The Interior Minister of Pakistan Rehman Malik has sought judicial inquiry into the allegations made against him by Former Sindh minister Zulfiqar Mirza. In a letter to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Malik requested a probe into the matter. Zulfikhar Mirza had earlier accused the interior minister of being a liar and collaborator in the violence that has engulfed Karachi recently.
Despite threats to his life, Malik stated he will continue to work for restoring peace in the city.
