A senior official from the defense ministry has claimed international forces are behind attacks in the tribal belt of Pakistan. On the request of anonymity, the official revealed that a Coalition Special Operation Force (CSOF), a product of foreign forces was responsible for attacks on security targets and civilians in Dir and Chitral. He also told reporters that Islamabad had filed a formal complaint with the US and NATO regarding the matter.
American website the Long War Journal, last week confirmed the CSOF was fighting against the Taliban in the Nuristan Province of Afghanistan. The Pakistan Foreign Ministry remained elusive on the matter and refrained from blaming the Afghan government and foreign troops as the source of the attacks.
According to strategy expert Brig Shaukat Qadir, The CSOF was established by the US to sponsor violence in Pakistan.
