Pakistani Chief of General Staff in China for Talks

Pakistani Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen Waheed Arshad, who is on an official trip to China, is due to hold important bilateral talks with the high-ranking Chinese military and government officials. Sources at Pakistani embassy in Beijing said that the general’s trip would help further boost strategic relations and defense cooperation between the two neighboring countries. Gen. Waheed will meet Deputy Chief of General Staff of PLA Gen. Ma Xiaotian. The high-ranking officials from both sides will be present at the meeting. Gen. Arshad will also visit the Chinese Ministry of Defense during his busy tour to meet Deputy Chief of FAO Maj. Gen. Jia Xioning.
