US President Barack Obama on Tuesday said that the possibility of a “lone wolf” terrorist strike in America is greater than a coordinated assault such as the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Obama said his government continued to monitor and collect information regarding potential terrorist plots although Al-Qaeda’s strength has been degraded. The president’s remarks came during a television interview at a time when the Americans are preparing to mark the tenth anniversary of hijacked airplanes crashing in Washington, New York and the Pennsylvania countryside.
