Libya: Civil War Not Over

Mahmoud Jibril, chief executive of the National Transitional Council gave his first public speech since rebel forces seized Tripoli from Gaddafi forces. He warned his rebel counterparts not to play any political games and threatened to step down if the rebels did not unite against the former regime. Jibril cautioned Libyans the civil war was not yet over. The former planning and economy minister said that Gaddafi forces continue to control parts of the country.

Col Gaddafi in a telephonic call to a Syrian television station said he is in Libya and promised to intensify attacks on the rebels.
