Afghan President Hamid Karzai, the key US and NATO ally in the military campaign against Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, turned furiously on the US in a public outburst on Saturday. He accused the US of carrying out negotiations Taliban without involving his administration and polluting the country’s environment with chemical toxins used in air operations. The Afghan president has become the third leader of a Muslim nation, after Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to distance himself from the US and criticize the Obama administration’s foreign policy.
