Israeli Right Worries Israel Will Have to Pay a Price for Osama’s Death

Officials and MKs on the Israeli Right on Monday expressed their fears that Israel would have to pay the price for US decision to kill Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden. MKs asked why Israel is regularly criticized by the international community for killing terrorists and mass murderers, while Bin Laden’s killing was celebrated globally. They also warned that Islamist fundamentalist groups may target Israel to avenge Bin Laden’s killing and said that President Obama may use the killing as a reason to pressurize Israel. “Israel will need to take action to prevent Obama from appeasing the Muslim world at our expense,” said National Union MK Aryeh Eldad.
