Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has decided to halt an Israel Electric Corporation initiative to build a nuclear power plant to provide electricity to Israel. According to Israeli radio, the decision was taken in response to the crisis in Japan. Netanyahu also plans to attend a ministerial meeting later on Thursday over preparations for quakes.
