Iran, Turkey Open Third Border Crossing To Boost Regional Cooperation

Turkey and Iran opened a third border crossing at Kapikoy in the eastern Turkish province of Van, in what is described by the foreign ministers of the two countries as a sign of friendship amid intensified regional cooperation initiatives. Trade between Iran and Turkey stands at $11 bn at present, which the two countries desire to raise to $30 bn, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi.
