Iran has denied allegations by French officials that Iran is exporting arms to Syria and termed them incorrect and baseless. France’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said on Monday that Iran is involved in a deeply shocking and illegal violation of the UN sanctions on export of weapons to Syria. He said France will call on Iran and Syria to comply with these sanctions.

Moreover, Iran is forbidden to import and export weapons under the resolutions of the Security Council due to its controversial nuclear program.
