An eight-member delegation of the Indian military arrived in Beijing Sunday for a week-long goodwill trip to China. The multi-command delegation is being led by Northern Command chief Gurmeet Singh. During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with their Chinese counterparts in Beijing, Shanghai and Xinjiang. The visit marks the recommencement of defense relations between the two Asian powers that were frozen last year when China declined to give regular visa to then Northern Command chief Lieutenant General BS Jaswal, who was due to lead an Indian military delegation to Beijing.
