India Finds New Reasons to Mistrust Pakistan

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s mostly lone efforts to enhance ties with Pakistan are expected to become more difficult, and more complicated, after the revelation that Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden managed to stay hidden in a military town near the Pakistani capital Islamabad for years. Officials in New Delhi, who have long blamed Pakistan for sheltering terrorists, saw their concerns vindicated by the finding of Bin Laden in Abbottabad. These officials are now reiterating their demand that the government of Pakistan capture and put on trial all those behind the 2008 Mumbai Attacks.
