India on Thursday urged Pakistan to speed up the trial of seven members of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) who were in its custody for alleged involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. India put forward the demand during the opening round of the two-day Indo-Pak secretary level talks that started in Islamabad on Thursday between Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir. During the talks, the two sides will discuss ways of resolving the Kashmir issue as well as deliberate upon the security situation in the region.
