General Khalid Shameem Wyne, chairman of the Pakistani Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, who is currently on an official trip to Turkey, met Turkish President Abdullah Gul Wednesday. General Wyne briefed the president on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts in the war against extremism and terrorism. Earlier the general met Commander of Turkish Armed Forces, Isik Kosaner, at the Turkish General Staff Headquarters. The two counterparts talked about issues of mutual interest and stressed the need for strengthening military ties between the two nations.
