Two militant groups in the Gaza strip said on Saturday they were ending a ceasefire with Israel that they had just announced one week ago. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, both based in Gaza, made the decision after a pre-dawn Israeli air attack that killed three Hamas fighters. A statement from Hamas said the three dead belonged to Al-Qassam Brigades, and the group vowed to avenge their death. Hamas also rejected Israel’s claims that the three men were planning to kidnap Israeli citizens in the Sinai Peninsula.
