At least 13 anti-government fighters died when NATO-led warplanes bombed an area between the cities of Brega and Ajdabiya in eastern Libya, according to rebel sources. Seven fighters were also wounded in the strike. The circumstances of the bombing are still unclear. NATO took control of the military campaign from an impromptu alliance coordinated by the US, with Britain and France playing major roles.
